We've been to Kiev in the winter and Odessa and the Crimean Peninsula in the summer, and we're really enjoying travelling in Ukraine! Learning the Russian letters and some phrases in Russian or Ukrainian will help. Otherwise, communicating by pointing and gesturing is usually fine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sakerhet\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sakerhet\"><\/span>Security<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Swedish Embassy in Ukraine writes in 2012: \"<em>Ukraine is generally a safe country to travel in.
