There is also the Nyn\u00e4s nature reserve, with lovely nature and nice walking trails. In the summer, you can see the inside of the castle, and the shop and restaurant are also open. When we arrived at the site in Nyk\u00f6ping one day it was sunny and warm. We paid for a few extra hours at the car park and stayed until lunch. Gripenstedt invested in new buildings, including the orangery, but the construction was expensive and he sold the castle to his brother. people who lived and worked here. There are many hiking trails, and you can also cycle on signposted trails. Cycling routes include N\u00e4ckrosleden and Sverigeleden. We must say that it looked very charming here, with a sauna and jetty. You can also choose to take the so-called \"coastal road\", road 219, between Vagnh\u00e4rad and Nyk\u00f6ping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Public transport: <\/strong>From Stockholm, you can take a train to Vagnh\u00e4rad or Nyk\u00f6ping and then change to a county bus, or take the Swebuss Express to Nyk\u00f6ping. The only bus line that goes to the Nyn\u00e4s stop is L\u00e4nstrafiken line 554. The bus stops about 500 metres from the castle.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-historia-vid-nynas-slott\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Historia_vid_Nynas_slott\"><\/span>History at Nyn\u00e4s Castle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1328: <\/strong>Birgitta Jonsdotter (Aspen\u00e4s\u00e4tten) was the owner. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1384:<\/strong> The castle was added to the Sundboholm estate, which was owned by Bo Jonsson Grip.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-1500-till-1600-talet\">16th to 17th century<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1522: <\/strong>The last of the Grip family to hold the castle, Nils Bosson, was murdered. Maria Nilsdotter, who was the great granddaughter of Bo Jonsson Grip, took over the castle. She was married to Erik Karlsson Gyllenstierna, and the castle thus became the property of the Gyllenstierna family.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1650s:<\/strong> The current corps de logi was built for Erik Karlsson Gyllenstierna. It was completed by 1685.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-1700-till-1800-talet\">18th to 19th century<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1744:<\/strong> Beata Gyllenstierna bequeathed the property to her relative and Baron Claes Gustaf R\u00e5lamb.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1769: <\/strong>R\u00e5lamb's widow sold Nyn\u00e4s to the riding master David Henrik Hildebrand, who carried out extensive remodelling. The castle then passed on to the Hildebrand, Bonde and Anckarsv\u00e4rd families.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1856: <\/strong>Johan August Anckarsv\u00e4rd handed over the castle to his son-in-law and Minister of State Johan August Gripenstedt, who soon became Minister of Finance. Gripenstedt had a new lodge, a new barn and the orangery built.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-1900-talet-till-nutid\">20th century to present<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1910:<\/strong> Carl Gustaf Gripenstedt sold Nyn\u00e4s to his brother Theodor.
