You can also come here at any time of the year to hike along the Sk\u00e5neleden trail. When we finally turned into the big Sandhammar road, we saw a sign that said \"maximum 6 metres of vehicle length\" would soon be in force. You don't see that sign very often... How would this go? We interpreted this to mean that we could park, but not stay overnight. Unfortunately, all the prohibition signs gave an unwelcoming feeling. The northern lighthouse was later moved to R\u00f6nnsk\u00e4r and the southern lighthouse was converted into a beacon. Other interesting destinations in the neighbourhood are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2021\/07\/gora-i-ystad\/\">charming Ystad<\/a> and the fine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2021\/05\/kronovalls-slott\/\">Kronovall Wine Castle<\/a>. Within the beaches there are also heather and grass heaths, forests and marshes. The river Tyge also flows here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plants:<\/strong> Oak forest (funnel forest), lily of the valley and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Birds:<\/strong> Thrushes, warblers and flycatchers and the rare fieldfare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wildlife:<\/strong> In addition to birds, you can see moose, deer, rabbits, squirrels and sand lizards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Outdoor recreation: <\/strong>Walking paths and opportunities for sunbathing and swimming. The Sk\u00e5neleden trail (SL4 \u00d6sterlen, stages 2 and 3) runs through the reserves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-service-och-praktisk-info\">Services and practical information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Guided tours: <\/strong>In the summer, there are guided tours of the lighthouse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Food service:<\/strong> Coffee and light meals are available at the kiosk, which is open during the peak summer months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Toilets:<\/strong> Toilets are available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parking:<\/strong> Parking is available, but with a motorhome you have to park a good distance from the beach. According to Visit Sk\u00e5ne, it can also be difficult to find parking spaces in the summer. They recommend driving towards the western part of the beach by the river Tyge.
