The nature area continues into the Czech Republic where the national park is called Bohemian Switzerland. We did a day trip starting in the Czech Republic. class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our adventure to Saxon Switzerland started in D\u011b\u010d\u00edn in the Czech Republic, where we stayed at the city campsite. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kempdecin.cz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Camp D\u011b\u010d\u00edn<\/a>. It was also this campsite that helped us with all the planning! Then we glided away on the Elbe. Here, fine hotels, restaurants and shops are tucked into the dramatic mountains. If you want to go on your own, you can take the next boat instead. Then, to get to the start of the hike, you can take the charming little tram. We had no cash in euros, but luckily they took cards. It was cold smoked salmon, with r\u00f6sti and salad. This meant more steps up (and more sweat), but we didn't regret it! (\u201dHome is where we park it\u201d.) From Schmilka a small ferry goes across the Elbe to Hirschm\u00fchle, where the train goes. When we made the trip the ferry cost 1 euro, but we only had cards and Czech cash.
