We have swum at Ribban, eaten falafel, strolled through parks and sat down at outdoor cafes. Most recently we took the train from Stockholm instead when Peter surprised Helena with tickets to Th\u00e5str\u00f6m at Malm\u00f6 Arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this guide we do not show everything there is to see in Malm\u00f6. Turning Torso and Western Harbour<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turning Torso is a building you can&#039;t miss when visiting Malm\u00f6. The twisted skyscraper rises 190 meters above the Western Harbour and has become one of the city&#039;s most recognizable landmarks. Another detail we were drawn to was the Ohboy bicycle hotel, where the greenery almost climbs over the building and a bicycle is included when you stay at the hotel. Here, the old ramparts, canals and several of Malm\u00f6&#039;s museums are gathered in a small area. Feel the pulse of M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngen \u2013 Malm\u00f6&#039;s colorful and international side<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngen, or&nbsp;<strong>The mill<\/strong>&nbsp;as the area is popularly known, shows a completely different side of Malm\u00f6. Here, people, languages, smells and tastes from different parts of the world mix, and the area feels both lively and international.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the middle of the district is M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngstorget, where fruit, vegetables and other goods are sold at the market stall. Around there are restaurants, bars, small shops and food from many different countries. Eat your way through Malm\u00f6&#039;s Saluhall \u2013 and try the city&#039;s falafel<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malm\u00f6 Saluhall is a great stop when hunger strikes. We ended up at Saluhallen and ordered a falafel with halloumi \u2013 a simple lunch that turned out to be really good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The great thing about Saluhallen is that you don&#039;t have to agree on what you want to eat. Take a walk around, look at the selection and choose what appeals to you at the moment. There&#039;s something special about leaving the noise of the city outside and stepping into the silence, architecture, and history for a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sankt Petri is so centrally located that it&#039;s easy to pop in while you&#039;re strolling through Malm\u00f6. Discover Pildammsparken \u2013 fountains, flowers and large green spaces<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pildammsparken is one of Malm\u00f6&#039;s large green parks and a place where it&#039;s easy to stay much longer than you first thought. Piles were planted along the embankments to strengthen them \u2013 hence the name Pildammarna. They can shoot water up to 25 meters into the air and after dark they transform into a colorful light show. Th\u00e5str\u00f6m was her big idol growing up and his music has accompanied her throughout her life. Here you are within walking distance of Lilla Torg, Stortorget, Malm\u00f6hus Castle, the parks and Malm\u00f6 Saluhall. You also live conveniently close to Malm\u00f6 Central Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Suitable for you as:<\/strong>&nbsp;Visiting Malm\u00f6 for the first time and want to be able to walk to a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">V\u00e4stra Hamnen \u2013 best for the sea and modern Malm\u00f6<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00e4stra Hamnen is perfect for those who like to wake up close to the sea and want Turning Torso, beach promenades and modern architecture on their doorstep. The area is quieter than the city centre but still close enough for you to easily cycle or walk into the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Suitable for you as:<\/strong>&nbsp;likes the sea, architecture and quieter evenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngen \u2013 best for restaurants and nightlife<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to experience Malm\u00f6&#039;s more colorful and international side, M\u00f6llev\u00e5ngen is a more fun alternative. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and falafel places here, and you have both Folkets Park and Pildammsparken within easy reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Suitable for you as:<\/strong>&nbsp;prioritizes food, nightlife and local atmosphere over classic tourist areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hyllie \u2013 best for Malm\u00f6 Arena and events<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyllie is a bit far from central Malm\u00f6 but is a smart choice if you are going to a concert, ice hockey or any other event at Malm\u00f6 Arena. This is where we stayed when Peter surprised Helena with the Th\u00e5str\u00f6m concert, and being able to walk between the hotel and the arena was very convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Campsites and campsites in Malm\u00f6<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have visited Malm\u00f6 several times with a camper van and have stayed at St\u00e4llplats Lagunen at the marina in Limhamn. It is a location we like, not least because you have the sea and Ribersborg right next door and at the same time can get into central Malm\u00f6 by bike. Here you will find electricity, toilets, water and the possibility of emptying.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us it worked out perfectly to bring the bikes and use the camper as a base while we explored Malm\u00f6. If you want more options, there are both parking spaces and camping in and around the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More options for campervans in Malm\u00f6:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Motorhome parking Sm\u00e5b\u00e5tshamnen in Limhamn \u2013 motorhome parking near the sea at Limhamn with electricity, toilet, shower, water and drainage.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First Camp Sibbarp \u2013 Malm\u00f6 \u2013 a good option if you prefer a full-scale campsite. There are special camper pitches with electricity, a service house and views of the \u00d6resund Bridge from parts of the area.
