Soon after, the pandemic hit and the Danish-owned hotel faced a tough period. Everything was really fresh, with a sense of Scandinavian standard and style. It had everything we needed including well-functioning WiFi, although it was temporarily interrupted a few times when the power went out. We have not eaten potatoes so often during our time in the Philippines ... So we started every morning with fried potatoes, fried eggs, ham, coffee\/tea, a glass of juice and fresh fruit. If you're looking for a beach with restaurants and shops, that's fine too. If you just want to take a dip or spend some time by the sea, you can walk down to the closest small beach, Tuba Beach.<\/p><div class=\"freed-placering-11 freed-entity-placement\" style=\"text-align: There are no restaurants, no shops (and no annoying jewellers). So, what can you see and do near the hotel? Well, on the island of Panglao, you can mainly enjoy the beaches and restaurants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can recommend the nearby Japanese restaurant Udzuki and the Swedish (!) Zara's Caf\u00e9.
