What we're talking about is simply one end of the large room at the bottom of the boat, the room that doubles as a bedroom and exercise room. (Not to be confused with our little <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2013\/10\/garderob-i-pannrummet\/\">crawl-in closet<\/a>that is, the boiler room).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If anyone thought we've been slacking off since we came home from the Philippines, it's obviously wrong ... We've put up mirrored doors for our clothes hangers and fixed a new chest of drawers. As you can see, our old houseboat has been modernised. It's not what we originally intended, but we like it! Hopefully, we will never need to use them, but it feels important to have them just in case. And since they are going to be hanging there anyway, it doesn't hurt if they look a little nicer.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/platform-cdn.sharethis.com\/img\/digg.svg\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nowadays, there are a few colours to choose from when it comes to fire extinguishers, so instead of a red one, we got a black and a white one. All walls that are not covered with wood panelling have been painted in the colour 'havsdimma' (sea mist), which is the same colour we have on the outside of the houseboat. We have also covered the steps between the kitchen and the lower deck with wall-to-wall carpet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter, on the other hand, cannot be away from work for as long as he had planned, as he is needed back at work.
