At least we're not planning any more trips before the New Year. So, how has this year of travelling been? It has been both intense and exciting. We've done several long journeys, for example spending two months in Finland and three months in the Philippines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Number of continents:<\/strong> 3 (Europe, Africa, Asia)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Number of countries:<\/strong> 7 (Finland, Poland, Austria, Turkey, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Philippines)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Number of new countries:<\/strong> 1 (Uzbekistan)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time spent travelling:<\/strong> 8.5 months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ways of travelling:<\/strong> Motorhome (4 months), backpacking (3 months), flight\/hotel (1 month) and car\/ferry\/cruise (2 weeks). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, how can we travel so much? Well, running the digital travel magazine FREEDOMtravel is our job, so we work while we travel. We were actually invited on a completely different occasion, but that time we got covid and couldn't travel. The flight tickets could be brought forward and, suddenly, we had a trip to Austria. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/restips\/europa\/vasteuropa\/osterrike\/\">Austria<\/a> 2023: How nice it is in the Austrian Alps! Fantastic views, wonderful winter experiences and good food. It was both well planned and at the same time too unplanned. We travelled together with relatively new friends. Our first main focus was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/07\/tre-trastader\/\">Three wooden cities<\/a>. We had a nice cooperation with them and went to visit the three cities. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/05\/gora-i-eksjo\/\">Eksj\u00f6<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/05\/gora-i-hjo\/\">Hjo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/05\/gora-i-nora\/\">Nora<\/a>. We travelled here by motorhome and discovered lots of fantastic places such as Skuleberget, Sl\u00e5ttdalsskrevan and Mannaminne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June we also travelled with the motorhome to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/07\/gora-pa-aland\/\">\u00c5land<\/a>, in collaboration with Visit \u00c5land.  Wow how beautiful \u00c5land is! Really, Tunisia is an underrated country. No collaborations now, just a quiet self-drive motorhome trip along the Finnish coast. We travelled at our own pace and were able to discover beautiful places such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/07\/gora-i-abo\/\">Turku<\/a>, UNESCO cities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/07\/gora-i-raumo\/\">Rauma<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2023\/07\/gora-i-vasa\/\">Vaasa<\/a> in Ostrobothnia. Now it would finally happen! Well, Norrland is very large, and we only managed a small part, but it is much more than nothing. We managed to see a lot in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/semester-i-norrbotten\/\">Norrbotten<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/semester-i-vasterbotten\/\">V\u00e4sterbotten<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/semester-i-angermanland\/\">\u00c5ngermanland<\/a>. Many nice places, lovely nature and nice people. And for some reason we all avoided mosquitoes. For the first time we were involved in organising <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/destinationstorget\/\">Destination Square<\/a>, which is a kind of fair within a fair.
