In addition to sunbathing and swimming, the town has several historical attractions. We came here with our camper van and were pleasantly surprised by the charming atmosphere and the incredibly beautiful houses. Narrow cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses with colorful details and small squares make it easy to just walk around without any particular plan. We have to say that we were incredibly delighted when we arrived here. Here you will live in the middle of Tavira&#039;s genuine atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">By the Gil\u00e3o River \u2013 close to city life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along the river are several hotels and apartments with nice views. Here you are close to restaurants, shops and the ferry that takes you to Ilha de Tavira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outside the city center \u2013 quieter and more affordable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many smaller hotels, holiday apartments and campsites around Tavira. This is suitable for those travelling by car or camper and looking for quieter accommodation with easy access to both the town and the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We lived with the camper at the police campsite, or <em>PSP Camping Park<\/em>, as it is actually called. But regardless, it is a good value campsite with a good location for walking or cycling to town.
