Mar\u00eda Luisa \u2013 a park with a long history<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The park has a long history, and was originally part of the private gardens belonging to the palace. <em>San Telmo Palace<\/em>. In 1893, the enormous area was donated to Seville by Mar\u00eda Luisa Fernanda de Borb\u00f3n, who gave the park its name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In preparation for the 1929 World&#039;s Fair, French landscape architect Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier was commissioned to redesign the park into a public city park. We chose <em>Areas Autocaravanas<\/em>, which is relatively close to the city center and serves as a good base for sightseeing.
