of the best-preserved palace and fortress complexes from the Islamic era in Europe. For several hundred years, the area was the seat of the Moorish Nasrid dynasty, before Granada was conquered by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492. The finest courtyards here are called the Myrtle Court and the Lion Court. We arrived at 12 noon and were only allowed in at 2pm. We had a ticket for the Nasrid Palaces with a specific entry time \u2013 not until 4:30pm. In addition, there was a lot of queuing and countless showings of the tickets. <em>in<\/em> in the area itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We visited the Alhambra during the off-season, so we can&#039;t imagine how long the lines are during the high season. From here there are frequent buses to the city centre, which makes the campsite a good base for those who want to visit both Granada and the Alhambra by motorhome.
