Unfortunately, the weather wasn\u2019t at its most Spanish \u2013 we had significantly more rain than sun \u2013 but we still managed to experience the old town, the castle and the special setting by the sea. Inside the old walls, narrow alleys wind between whitewashed houses, small shops and restaurants. The higher you go, the better the views of the sea, the port and the long beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the top is the Castillo de Pe\u00f1\u00edscola, but the walk through the old town itself is a big part of the experience.
