We didn't do that, but we booked a ticket for a few days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is very popular to make boat trips to either to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2015\/05\/korsikas-vackraste-strand\/\">Saleccia beach - which we visited ten years ago<\/a> (magically beautiful!) or to Lotu beach, which we chose this time. When we woke up the next morning, the storm had subsided and it felt completely calm. Now it was time for an excursion! Our plan was to follow the coast southwards towards Calvi, and Peter had spotted a beach that looked nice: <em>Ostriconi beach.<\/em> If we couldn't take a boat to a beach, why couldn't we take a campervan to a beach? less than an hour, we arrived at l'Ostriconi, and it turned out that a height barrier (maximum 2 metres) effectively stopped all motorhomes that wanted to visit the beach during the day. On the other hand, a campsite was right next door: <em>Camping de l'Ostriconi<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were going to stay somewhere for the night anyway, so why not spend a night at this campsite and walk down to the beach? It was a bit of a walk and on the way we met a family who explained in Italian-English that \"the beach could not be reached\". What?
