The monuments are 2-3 metres high and represent warriors, and most of them seem to have been erected around 3500 - 4000 years ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The oldest finds at the site, such as arrowheads and pots, date from around 3300 BC, and many of the monuments were erected around 1500 BC. What are Menhirs? They are large stones that have been carved to resemble warriors or people. The most well-crafted warriors stand in a ring around an olive tree. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is staggering that it has been so long since they were erected! You have to put it in the context of where we are today and what they have contributed to development, because we all do that every day.
