As spring begins to make itself felt and the light returns, my hunger for skiing grows into something almost uncontrollable. While trend-sensitive Stockholmers move around Stureplan in the pale spring sun, another kind of longing emerges: the need for something smaller, calmer and more human. <\/p>

A place where the pace is slower and the atmosphere is closer to the heart than the fa\u00e7ade. That's when I board the train northwards, towards H\u00e4lsingland and J\u00e4rvs\u00f6 - a place where no one needs fame to feel at home. Here, one of Sweden's most interesting winter destinations has emerged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mountain huts slumbering under the soft blanket of spring, mountains glistening in the morning sun and a food and drink scene vibrating with ideas. J\u00e4rvs\u00f6 offers quality that can be felt both in the snow and on the plate. <\/p>
