The wind conditions in the strait between Bra\u010d and Hvar create good conditions, especially during the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, you don&#039;t have to be an experienced surfer to be active on the water. From Bol you can join organized boat trips, but there is also the option of renting your own smaller boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We chose the latter option ourselves and rented a small motorboat from the harbor. Its distinctive shape, with a narrow headland jutting out into the turquoise Adriatic Sea, makes the beach easy to recognize in photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The headland consists of pebbles that have been shaped by ocean currents, waves and wind. Therefore, the appearance and direction of the tip can change slightly depending on the conditions in the sea. Behind the beach, pine trees grow, which both give character to the landscape and offer much-needed shade on hot summer days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zlatni Rat is most popular during July and August, while the experience can be completely different during spring and autumn. The peak is 778 meters above sea level and from here you get a fantastic view of southern Bra\u010d, Zlatni Rat and the Adriatic Sea. On clear days, Hvar is clearly visible on the other side of the strait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vidova Gora is named after Saint Vitus, and near the top are the remains of an old church dedicated to the saint. But for most visitors, the view is the main reason they come here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is possible to hike up to Vidova Gora from Bol, but the elevation difference is considerable and on hot summer days the hike can be demanding. During October, restaurants, shops and activities may still be open, but the range of options gradually decreases and towards the end of the month many of the seasonal tourist activities begin to close. This time we encountered Bol during a slightly busier season. We chose to stay at&nbsp;<em>Camping Kito<\/em>, which is a nice family-owned small campsite. The number of departures varies depending on the season, so always check the current timetable before travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to bring a car or camper, you can take the Split-Supetar car ferry or the Makarska-Sumartin car ferry, and then drive across the island to Bol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nar_ar_basta_tiden_att_resa_till_Bol\"><\/span>When is the best time to travel to Bol?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bol is primarily a destination suitable for spring, summer and early autumn. If you visit the resort during the absolute high season (July-August), you can expect a lot of people and that it is lively and perhaps a little crowded on the beaches, while there is a wide range of activities and excursions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you choose pre- or post-season, things will be a little quieter. Bol is also a good starting point for an excursion to Vidova Gora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is Zlatni Rat near Bol?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. Zlatni Rat is located just west of Bol and is reached via a beautiful promenade. The walk from the center of Bol takes about half an hour and along the way you pass swimming areas, pine trees and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get from Split to Bol?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are passenger catamarans between Split and Bol during parts of the year. Another option, especially if you have a car or camper, is to take the car ferry from Split to Supetar and from there continue across Bra\u010d to Bol. Check the current timetables before you travel as connections vary with the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you need a car in Bol?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. If you live in Bol, you can walk to restaurants, beaches, the harbor and Zlatni Rat. We rented a small motorboat ourselves and paddled along the coast, which was a lovely way to discover small coves and see Bra\u010d from the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is Bol good for water sports?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. The area around Bol and Zlatni Rat is particularly famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing, but there are also opportunities for snorkeling, diving, kayaking and SUP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When is the best time to travel to Bol?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">June and September are great months for those who want warm weather and swimming opportunities but slightly less crowded than during the high summer. July and August are the busiest. We have spent a lot of time in Bol in October and appreciated the peace, but then you can expect that parts of the tourist offer will start to close for the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How many days do you need in Bol?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two or three days are enough to experience Bol itself, Zlatni Rat and the immediate surroundings.
