business and meetings, Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2026 came to an end. Motorhomes, caravans and accessories filled the halls while an extensive program offered travel inspiration, cooking, family activities and entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several of the lectures have been fully booked during the fair. During June and July, the number of guest nights increased by 3.9 percent compared to the peak year of 2025. At the same time, the industry maintains its position as the largest accommodation for European summer tourists visiting Sweden. This is shown by preliminary figures from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Norway, Germany and the Netherlands \u2013 the three largest foreign markets for camping in Sweden \u2013 all increased during January\u2013July. According to the HRF owner study 2026, a family traveling with a motorhome or caravan spends an average of 1,087 SEK per overnight stay, including camping or parking fees. The money goes to restaurants, shops, activities, fuel and other local services, among other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now the Swedish Caravan and Motorhome Industry Association, HRF, wants to help municipalities and destinations become better at welcoming mobile travelers. A special destination checklist will be developed and three destinations will be selected as pilots.
