But before that, we will summarise the motorhome and travel year 2016. There were a total of ten trips abroad (plus two \u00c5land cruises) and three slightly longer motorhome trips in Sweden. in&nbsp;<strong>Finland<\/strong>. We wrote about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/01\/matka-norra-europas-storsta-resemassa\/\">Matka travel fair<\/a>&nbsp;and shared tips for travel bloggers from all the lectures. We also had the chance to visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/01\/abo-skargard-farjor-konst-och-barfotastig\/\">Turku archipelago<\/a>, try <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/01\/olprovning-pa-skolan-i-abo\/\">beer in 'school'<\/a>&nbsp;in Turku and enjoy delicacies in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/01\/abo-saluhall\/\">Turku market hall<\/a>. We wrote about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/02\/caravan-stockholm-2016\/\">the fair<\/a>, and appointed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/02\/vara-favorit-husbilar-pa-caravan-stockholm-2016\/\">our favourites <\/a>among the motorhomes, in three different size categories. In cooperation with the Croatian Tourist Board, we rented a small motorhome and travelled all over Istria. In addition, we visited the magnificent Summer Palace <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/07\/chateau-lednice-pampigt-sommarpalats-tjeckien\/\">Chateau Lednice<\/a>&nbsp;and tasted wine in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/07\/happy-friday-vin-tjeckien\/\">the Czech wine regions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also made a trip to <strong>Poland<\/strong>, to visit our friends Lennart and Beata, who have a holiday apartment on the coast. We had our own stand on site and reported on all the news at the fair, such as on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/09\/toscane-smarta-och-sakra-husbilar-fran-swift-group\/\">motorhomes Tuscany<\/a> that we fell in love with, the luxurious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/09\/morelo-empire-bade-stort-och-lyxigt\/\">Morelo Empire<\/a>, if <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/09\/expertguidning-bland-husvagnar-pa-elmia-massan\/\">caravans<\/a> for different types of customers and whether <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/09\/6-smarta-campingprylar\/\">smart accessories<\/a>. Among other things, we visited the capital city <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/5-saker-att-se-och-gora-valletta\/\">Valletta<\/a>, experienced a \"light festival\" in the city <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/ljusfestival-pa-malta-och-en-ovantad-fest\/\">Vittoriosa<\/a>learnt more about the mysteries of the ancient palaces. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/mysterierna-kring-hagar-qim-pa-malta\/\">Hagar Qim<\/a>, visited the beautiful sister island <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/gozo-maltas-vackra-systero\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gozo<\/a> and tried a bunch of really good <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/7-restauranger-pa-malta-som-du-inte-vill-missa\/\">restaurants<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also drove the motorhome to <strong>Kristinehamn<\/strong>, where we gave a lecture on the importance of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/forelasning-om-husbilsresor-europa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">travelling by motorhome in Europe<\/a>. We slept one night at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/10\/7-restauranger-pa-malta-som-du-inte-vill-missa\/\">Liblice Castle<\/a> and then travelled to the unexpectedly nice little town of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/11\/olomouc-en-parla-ostra-tjeckien\/\">Olomouc<\/a>&nbsp;in the eastern Czech Republic. We visited the beautiful turn-of-the-century town. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/12\/opatija-sekelskiftescharm-i-kroatien\/\">Opatija<\/a> and experienced the city's annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/12\/chokladfestival-i-kroatien\/\">chocolate festival<\/a>. In addition, we were able to experience <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2016\/12\/julmarknad-i-zagreb\/\">Christmas market in Zagreb<\/a>which was actually voted the best Christmas market in Europe for the second year running!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next trip was to Warsaw in <strong>Poland<\/strong>.
