The castle is sometimes called \u201dLittle Wawel\u201d due to its similarities to the much more famous Wawel Castle in Krak\u00f3w. city of Sandomierz. The elegant castle is considered one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What particularly distinguishes the building is the square courtyard with its beautiful arcades and the impressive staircase. In the end, the woman at the reception took pity on us and showed us around in English. From here you also get some of the finest views of the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bo_pa_slottet_Baranow_Sandomierski\"><\/span>Stay at the Baran\u00f3w Sandomierski Castle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to make your visit a little extra special, you can actually stay overnight at Baran\u00f3w Sandomierski. The entire castle complex has around fifty rooms, a dozen of which are located inside the Renaissance castle itself. Here you can choose between historically furnished rooms, chambers and suites, some with views of the beautiful courtyard and arcades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other rooms are available at the three-star Hotel Zamkowy, which is located directly next to the castle. The facility also has a restaurant and spa and wellness, and as a hotel guest you can get a discounted price on a guided tour of the castle. Baran\u00f3w Sandomierski is considerably less well-known among Swedish travelers than, for example, Wawel in Krak\u00f3w and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/en\/2014\/09\/medeltidsborgen-malbork\/\">Malbork Castle<\/a>, but that may be part of the charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We hadn&#039;t planned a long stay here, but the castle was a really nice stop on our trip through Poland \u2013 and we still remember the beautiful courtyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out Peter&#039;s film from the Baranow Sandomierski Castle!
