the border into Belarus. The species was close to extinction in the early 20th century and became extinct in the wild. We had begun to accept that there simply wouldn&#039;t be any this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then a German camping neighbor suddenly came up to the camper, waved excitedly and hissed: \u201dSchnell \u2026 schnell!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only about a hundred meters from the campsite it stood. A wild bison. After a whole day of searching, we didn&#039;t have to search at all.
