Perhaps it's not surprising that it's chilly on a mountain range that has its highest peak at over 4000 metres above sea level. We all put on sweaters and the thickest jackets we had in our packs. The Berbers have lived in the Atlas Mountains since 2400 BC. According to our guide, they have not changed much in their lifestyle, although in recent years they have acquired a gas stove. In one place we stayed a little longer, and here we had time to climb up to a waterfall.
