The walls extend around the old town and are complemented by bastions and monumental city gates, with Porta San Giacomo being one of the most photographed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, the walls are a nice place for a walk, with views of Citt\u00e0 Bassa and the countryside around Bergamo.
