Here you can swim, canoe and relax by the lake \u2013 but also make excursions to Wesenberg and Mirow Castle, among others. Mecklenburgische Seenplatte<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camping- und Ferienpark Havelberge is located in the middle of the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, the large lake area in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in northeastern Germany. It is an area that almost feels built for motorhome holidays. Here you will find, among other things, a restaurant, a beach, a canoe centre and a high-altitude track. We could leave the camper there and take a trip by train, but also head straight out onto the water. We each got a Canadian and set off on Woblitzsee. Not far from the campsite is the Gro\u00df Quassow train station. Here you will find, among other things, a historic town center, a church and the remains of a medieval castle. We must admit that we didn&#039;t really understand everything we saw, but that can be the case with modern art. Castle, which is located about 17 kilometers from Camping Havelberge. We took the camper to Mirow, and it worked smoothly because there was parking near the castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/wp-content\/webp-express\/webp-images\/uploads\/Mirow-slott-1024x576.jpg.webp\" alt=\"Mirow utanf\u00f6r Waren\" class=\"wp-image-93937\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Beautiful at Mirow Castle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The castle is romantically located on a small island, Schlossinsel Mirow, surrounded by water and greenery. The setting alone makes it worth a stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mirow also has an exciting royal history. Princess Sophie Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was born here in 1744, who later married King George III and became Queen Charlotte of Great Britain. Yep \u2013 the Queen Charlotte who has gained new attention through the Bridgerton universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Castle Island in Mirow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the castle itself, the castle island also features the Johanniter Church with the princely family tomb, an old Renaissance gatehouse, the Kavaliershaus and beautiful park surroundings. We were content to walk around the surroundings and have a coffee at the castle caf\u00e9, but it is also possible to visit the castle itself and see the historical rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/wp-content\/webp-express\/webp-images\/uploads\/Fika-1024x577.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-93935\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The park also has a strange grave care that caught our attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freedomtravel.se\/wp-content\/webp-express\/webp-images\/uploads\/Grav-1024x576.jpg.webp\" alt=\"Slottet Mirow utanf\u00f6r Waren\" class=\"wp-image-93938\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Semester_bland_sjoarna_i_Mecklenburg\"><\/span>Holidays among the lakes in Mecklenburg<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camping Havelberge is a great place to explore the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte for a few days. The great thing is that you don&#039;t have to fill your days with sights. A day here can just as easily consist of a morning swim, a bike ride or a few hours in a canoe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next day you can take the train to Wesenberg or drive away in your camper to Mirow and other small towns among the lakes.
