One of the best places to experience the landscape is at Valaste waterfall, where a staircase leads down the cliff face. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During our motorhome trip through Estonia, we continued east from Lahemaa National Park and Rakvere, along the country&#039;s northern coast. This is where it turned out to be a successful move. Here, the limestone cliffs rise more than 50 meters above sea level in places. As you approach the edge, all you see is\u2026 an edge. Here a completely different experience awaits: a large, green park with walking paths, plantings, viewpoints and traces of a palace that once stood here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The palace was built in the late 19th century for the Russian merchant Grigori Yelisseyev. In the 1930s, Oru Palace became the summer residence of the Estonian President Konstantin P\u00e4ts. During World War II, the palace was destroyed and today the building itself no longer exists. When we were here, the signs pointed in both directions and we didn&#039;t manage to find everything.
