Häringe Castle is located just south of Stockholm and is a castle you visit for lovely weekend packages, luxurious dinners and lazy days in the castle pool. We didn't do any of this, but checked out the castle and dreamed of a future, slightly more exclusive, visit.

Södertuna Castle is beautifully situated by Frösjön in Södermanland. People come here, for example, to treat themselves to a weekend at the castle hotel or for an Afternoon Tea. We only had the roads past with the motorhome, and took the opportunity to look around the beautiful castle park.

Castles in Sweden - there are plenty of them! In fact, there are around 220 Swedish castles, although the number depends on how you count. We've seen a large number of castles during our motorhome trips in the country, many of which are both stunningly beautiful and historically interesting.

Grönsöö Castle is a fine 17th century castle on the island of Grönsö in Lake Mälaren, Uppland. In the summer, the castle is shown inside, but the castle park is open to visitors all year round. We were here with our motorhome last spring, and after the visit we found a cosy free camping site.

Gunnebo Castle and Gardens is located just south of Gothenburg and can be visited all year round. Here you will find a beautiful castle building, a beautiful park, lovely nature areas and a restaurant and café. If you pick the right day and book in advance, guided tours are also available.

Krapperup Castle is a Scanian estate dating back to the 14th century. Today there is a beautiful castle from the 16th century, a lovely castle park, café and art gallery. We ended up here by chance during our last motorhome trip.
