Holidays in Western Europe
What is included in Western Europe may depend on your perspective. We have chosen to include the countries in the north-western part of Europe, except for the Nordic countries. This means that we include the United Kingdom, Ireland and France as well as the Benelux countries, i.e. Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Other countries that could be included in Western Europe can be found at holidays in the Nordic countries and holidays in Central Europe.
United Kingdom and Ireland
The UK and Ireland have a lot to offer in terms of beautiful scenery and charming cities. We've travelled around Ireland and Northern Ireland by motorhome. The scenery here is dramatic, with steep cliffs, blue seas and intense green vegetation. You can also see castles or experience pub culture and music. Read more:

France is a large country with a long history and lots of culture. Here you can experience language, food, wine and fashion. There are also plenty of historical sights such as churches, castles and remains of the Roman Empire. In addition, France offers magically beautiful nature, with gorges, mountains, valleys and lakes. Benelux
Benelux is the collective name for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The name derives from an economic union formed in the 1940s and named after the first letters of the countries' names. Today, the name describes three countries that are close to each other and have some things in common, such as shared train lines.
