Motala - Borenshult locks

• Description: Pitches on tarmac just next to the locks in the Göta Canal. There are 6 sites with electricity, and a further number without electricity.
• Service: Electricity (in some places) and toilet
• Price: 200 kr/day (July 2020)

Borensberg - Glassworks car park

• Description: Glasbruket is a charming hostel, caravan site and garden café located on a narrow spit of land between the Motala stream and the Göta Canal.
• Service: Electricity (some sites) and service buildings with toilets and showers.
• Price: 185 kr/day without electricity (July 2020)

Borensberg - Coffee shop car park

• Description: Large and popular caravan park with 45 pitches (29 of which have electricity), located along the Göta Canal.
• Service: Electricity (in some places), shelter, garbage collection, dishwashing facilities, fresh water filling and grey and black water emptying facilities.

Lake Roxen Sandvik campsite

• Description: A fine Caravan Club campsite located on the shores of Lake Roxen.
• Service: Electricity, service building, water filling and emptying of grey and black water. There is also a kiosk and a restaurant.

Bergs locks - car park

• Description: Grass pitches in a large car park, just next to the Berg locks.
• Service: Toilets, showers, rubbish collection, latrines and the possibility to fill fresh water. 100 SEK must be deposited for a card for the service centre, which is returned when the card is returned.

• Description: Small caravan park with space for four motorhomes, nicely located at the start of the Göta Canal.

• Description: Simple pitch on gravel, right next to the Göta Canal. Good location for discovering Söderköping.
• Service: You have access to the services of the guest harbour (toilets and showers) but it is a bit of a walk.
• Price: 185 kr/day (July 2020)

• Description: Large, attractive and popular site with space for 45 motorhomes.
• Service: Electricity and service centre with toilets and showers. There is a restaurant and mini-library next door.
• Price: 150-300 kr/day (July 2021)

Stegeborg - Yxeltorp farm

• Description: Simple pitch on grass, overlooking the water and a jetty with small boats. You have to call a phone number on a sign to get the swish number and code for the service centre.
• Service: Service building with toilet, shower and rubbish bin.

• Description: Large pitch on hard standing. Beautiful location with rocks behind and nice view of water and boats.
• Service: Electricity, a fresh service building, washing machines and an emptying station for both grey and black water.

• Description: Nice campsite in a scenic location in the archipelago, by the Ekön nature reserve.

There are plenty of campsites and pitches in Östergötland, and many are nicely located by lakes, by the sea or perhaps along the Göta Canal. During the high season, popular sites can be very busy and it can be difficult to find an available site unless you arrive early in the day.
