Cheapest flights - really

Low-cost airlines usually seem to have the cheapest prices, but it can be difficult to tell because you often have to add various costs afterwards. Skyscanner conducted a study that looked at average airfares and the cost of baggage, seat reservations and in-flight meals.

Ryanair was the cheapest in terms of airfares and seat reservations, but their baggage fees mean that a ticket with Finnair can be cheaper. Here are the flights with the best value for money:

  1. Ryanair/Finnair
  2. Air France
  3. Norwegian
  4. KLM/Lufthansa
  5. Wizz air
  6. Easy jet
  7. Vueling
  8. SAS

Low status - but still popular

According to a Sifo survey by Ticket, all-inclusive is not seen as a high-status holiday. Instead, it is exotic travel to paradise islands, adventure travel and cultural travel that have high status in society.

But despite the low status, more than half of Swedes, 53 per cent, can imagine travelling on All Inclusive. The main reasons for choosing All Inclusive are convenience and simplicity when travelling with children.

Pilotless planes in the future?
