What are our travel plans for spring and summer? Our travel plans have long been a bit fuzzy and we've bounced different ideas back and forth, but now the plans are starting to take shape. As it looks right now, there will be five different trips this spring and summer. Then there may be a few more trips, with or without a motorhome, in the local area.
Innehållsförteckning
Kristianstad (May)
Yes, that's right, we are going to Kristianstad! Our friend and fellow travel blogger Daniela, who runs the blog Discovering the planet, lives there. She will gather a bunch of travel bloggers so we can talk travel blogging together. We will also discover Kristianstad, first on our own and then in cooperation with the local tourist office. Fun!
Karlovy Vary (May)
We barely have time to get home from Kristianstad before going on to Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. We discovered this Czech spa town by motorhome last summer and were so enamoured that we wrote on the spot that this was probably "the most beautiful town we've seen". ever”.
We talked to the Czech tourist office who agreed that it would be great if several travel bloggers could discover this beautiful city. We will be five travel bloggers travelling together. It will be interesting to hear what the others think! Feel free to read about our favourites in the Czech Republicand about our next trip.
The beach basket challenge (May)
It will be intense in May, because then we will also embark on the "The beach basket challenge" in Germany, together with six other motorhome teams. In addition to experiencing the beautiful Baltic Sea coast and Rügen, there will be "challenges" where the teams will challenge each other.
This will be so fun! You will be able to follow the journey on our and several other blogs, and probably also on German Tourist Board FB page. Of course, we will also share tips and treasures in this part of Germany!
Croatia (June)
We are currently in the process of plan for a trip to Zadar in Croatia. The details are not finalised yet, but we think it will be some kind of road trip. We'll tell you more soon!
Estonia (July)
In July we will be travelling by motorhome to Estonia. We have previously visited Tallinnand now we want to see all the rest Estonia has to offer. We have, among other things, been inspired by the blogger Lifsresor and their programme of drive halfway around the Baltic Seabut for various reasons we will have to make the trip a bit shorter. In any case, we are very much looking forward to discovering Estonia by motorhome! Hope you also think it will be interesting to see what we find?
Plans for the autumn
We also already have several really exciting travel plans for the autumn, which include at least one completely new country for our part. We will come back to you!
What are your plans for spring and summer?
Do you have any travel plans for the spring or summer, and if so, where are you going?
Carina says:
Sounds nice.
However, we are not travelling by motorhome but we are going to Hawaii and San Francisco this summer (in 52 days?).

Will probably be Northern Italy with Lake Garda for our part. Last summer we passed the Valpolicella districts about 2 days after you shared some good tips. Thanks for that but we did not finish there. It's not ideal to go there in July, but that's when we have a holiday?
Had lunch at Pampas Marina today and was delighted to see your motorhome ?

What many exciting places you are planning to go to! For my part, it will probably be Idrefjäll over midsummer, as usual, and a trip to Scotland this summer is possibly planned. And some shorter trips.

What mixed, wonderful travel plans.
Our plans are also starting to take shape.
In May there will be three motorhome trips
- Morups Tånge and Åkulla beech forests in Halland with the photo club.
- Rügen and the German Baltic Sea coast.
(When in the rush we barely wrote a justification for the beach basket challenge, we get to travel on our own)
- Kolmården with two grandchildren, 6 and 7 years old.
June and July I will be working so there will be shorter weekend trips.
In August we will spend a few days in Haninge for the MHCS championship in golf and also go out to the coast there before the end of August it is time for this year's long trip by motorhome along the Atlantic coast down to Santiago de Compostela where a hiking week is booked. Then we will continue down to the Douro Valley before heading home towards autumn and new plans....
25 April 2019 - 7:41
Helena says:
It sounds like you have many nice travel plans! What fun that you also go to the German Baltic Sea coast! It would have been so much fun if we could travel together, but that will be another time! Maybe we will still see you somewhere? Good luck with the travel plans!

25 April 2019 - 10:44
Lisa says:
We will drive around the Baltic Sea with some shortening, skipping Russia. Starting sometime around midsummer with driving up through Sweden. We have no exact timetable but it will take the time it takes. In Usedom we want to stay a while and enjoy the atmosphere because it is a favourite. Before midsummer there will be a trip to the west coast with one of the grandchildren. Fredrikshamn and Reef Hotel on 1 June together with children and grandchildren will be a birthday present to myself.

So heavenly nice travel plans! It will be fun to follow along (though via the blog then 😉 ).
We do not have any trips booked (except for the trip home today then 😉 ). Sister Anders does not really trust me yet... Yes, in terms of health. But there will be a few more small trips here in Spain. The long trips will have to wait a while longer. Unfortunately.
Have a great day!
25 April 2019 - 9:12
Helena says:
Not so bad to have your own sister Anders anyway!!! 🙂 Hope you get nice little trips in Spain while waiting for the longer trips!
25 April 2019 - 10:47
Johnny Friskilä says:
Yes, but it sounds nice! For my part, it will be Pavia in Italy this weekend, then after a few weeks at home, the work begins with river cruises in Russia, road trip in Tajikistan and tour of Kyrgyzstan before I myself get a holiday and go two weeks to northern Norway. In the autumn, there will be work in Azerbaijan, Russia and hopefully Iran, and then we'll be at the end of October. The weeks I have off in between, I will probably just want to stay at home. I think. Otherwise it might be a private trip in the last weeks of November, first in December, but I haven't decided where yet.
25 April 2019 - 9:12
Helena says:
But what fun that you are going on the Pavia trip! It will be interesting to hear about! 🙂 Your work trips are also always super interesting to follow!

Annika says:
Great! Otherwise we will be in Stockholm around the 20th so maybe we can meet then - china and shout! ❤️

Sounds exciting. We have been to Rugen many times, there is much to discover on the beautiful island. We go to a caravan meeting this weekend, another meeting the following week, participate in a swimming competition one weekend. May will be intense. We hope to organise a trip to Denmark and try pintrip.eu this summer. The end of August and half of September there will be a European trip, probably with Otok Ciovo as far south. We will first see how the summer will be. Corsica remains as an option when we drive south, best weather wins.
25 April 2019 - 11:24
Helena says:
Fun plans! 🙂 Had never heard of pintrip but checked a little on the page now 🙂 .
26 April 2019 - 12:59
Liniz Travel says:

Mem missed that you do different things.
All good?
I booked a charter to Rhodes in August with the children. Then it will be Sweden in the summer.
Poor m
Trips booked, I realise now 😉.
Hugs
25 April 2019 - 12:48
Helena says:
Thank you, yes everything is fine! A little different travel this summer, but there will be some caravanning in any case 🙂 Rhodes will certainly be nice!!!

Ditte says:
Fun with many and varied trips. Even for me, there will be a lot of travelling. Many work trips both in Sweden but also to Norway, throughout Finland to Valomo in Russia and to Poland. There will also be some completely private trips, of course, but I now prefer to stay in Sweden/Northern Europe in the summer and have a lot left to see here.
We are planning trips for the winter and are keen to take another long trip around the world. But nothing is ready yet. But to places where we have not been before.
25 April 2019 - 13:38
Helena says:
It sounds like you have very exciting travel plans ahead of you! 🙂
26 April 2019 - 13:16
Maria/Magnolia Magis says:
oh it was not a little that! But if you are a travel blogger you are...;D
Kristianstad we were involuntarily over a weekend when the former motorhome broke down (The Seagull which has since been named Måsajäveln..). There is a lot to look at.
We have no major travel plans, some meetings with Land Rover people. On 19 May we will be among the exhibitors for the Land Rover Club at Tjolöholm Classic. How was it you didn't have much in May? You have time for a trip to Tjolöholm?...;D
Otherwise, we are in such a nice place that we do not want to travel longer distances. Båstad is the neighbour so we go in and have an ice cream now and then....
Have a great spring!
25 April 2019 - 15:24
Helena says:
The seagull ... the seagull ... hahaha! And yes, if you are a travel blogger, you are ... have already turned down several travel proposals in May haha 😉
26 April 2019 - 13:18
Veiken says:
It's great to have plans, that's half the journey.
We are on the cusp of cooler winds. The largest state in the USA will be visited by us! Then a bit of everything in Sweden! Have a good time!
25 April 2019 - 17:16
Helena says:
Great plans! 🙂

emolis says:
Exciting with a travel blog meeting in Kristianstad. But there is a lot to see and experience here, at least in terms of nature (lives here so is perhaps a bit biased 🙂 ). Our summer plans are 10 days in Greenland in June and then three weeks in Bali in July.
25 April 2019 - 18:03
Helena says:
But oh what exciting trips!!! Greenland is a dream destination for me! 🙂 Kristianstad may not be quite as high on the dream list haha, but it will be fun and interesting too! 🙂
26 April 2019 - 13:19
Anna / Boihusbil.se says:
How wonderful to have so many trips planned! We somehow feel that we are not travelling, although we do it all the time. But this is our way of life. We are in Sweden May-August and then we go south again, probably Croatia and Italy.
25 April 2019 - 18:03
Helena says:
It becomes a lifestyle ... but of course you are travelling! 🙂 Croatia and Italy sound wonderful!
26 April 2019 - 13:20
Kors och Tvärs says:
So much fun you have ahead of you! We are almost on a roll all the time, with east coast, west coast, Dalarna, Germany, Dalarna again and then Södermanland. A few weeks I will actually work too so then there will be frequent visits to Södermanland because we will have a grandchild. In the autumn we will then go on a new winter trip, so we are not bored either 😉.
25 April 2019 - 19:57
Helena says:
You really are on a roll all the time! Great! 🙂
26 April 2019 - 13:20

Perfect with so many planned trips that I can go on by reading your blog. Will you go on the trips with the motorhome, take the train or fly. Thinking mostly about the Czech Republic.
As always, I look forward to riding shotgun with you;-)
25 April 2019 - 21:52
Helena says:
There will be some mixed travelling this year! The Czech Republic will be by plane this time (and bus).
26 April 2019 - 13:21
Ninnie says:
So fun to have so much to look forward to, and so many different and exciting destinations! Yes, you always look forward to the summer, right? We don't have much planned, yet. In any case, we have booked a trip to Sardinia in early July, it will be exciting because we have never been there before! Have talked a bit about going north in Sweden too, not so far but at least a bit. Maybe Sälenfjällen, or Idre, to hike. Have a nice weekend!
26 April 2019 - 7:08
Helena says:
Lovely with Sardinia! It is sooo nice there! 🙂
26 April 2019 - 13:22
Emma, Sol som sol? says:
My goodness, you're leaving! 😀
We only have two things that we pretty much HAVE to do and then it's not as much fun:
* Madrid and organise passports.
* Belgrade and dealing with the estate (mother-in-law passed away recently).
You see how boring it looks on the list! Then, of course, it will be nice to go, but Madrid will be done quickly (must be done on a weekday and the son goes to school) and in Belgrade we look forward to meeting my husband's aunt, but it will also be terribly difficult with urns and the bureaucracy.
Your trips sound more pleasant, so to speak.
26 April 2019 - 8:57
Helena says:
I would very much like to visit Belgrade, but I understand that it will be difficult both with urns and bureaucracy. Some things just have to be done ... I hope it will be as good as possible!
26 April 2019 - 13:23
Travelsis says:
What fun then we will see you in Kristianstad!!! Our plans are a bit like yours... Magdalena is going to the Czech Republic and Croatia this spring and summer. I'm in Scotland and then Montenegro and Greece this summer? See you soon! Pernilla

Oh how wonderful it will be to follow your journey in Estonia. Everyone else too of course but I really fell in love with Tallinn when we were there so it will be fun to see more. And then you get inspired to document your plans for spring and summer.
