Saturday and guest blog with Elisabeth Haug

From Dubrovnik to Safari Beach, 16 kilometres. It should be pretty quick, we thought. Just blow down. NOT 🙂 We got stuck at the border crossing between Croatia and Montenegro. Nice to have a motorhome, I went to bed and read, Elias walked around in the car. The road further was under all criticism, we drove for about 45 km on European roads, luckily there were fantastic views and much to see during the journey. We passed Sveti Stefan and many nice cities.

Northwards along the coast of Montenegro

Today we have continued the journey north along the coast of Montenegro. It has actually rained intensively and been a little cooler today, that is, around 23 degrees. After several hot summer months, it's almost nice! We have made slow progress and have been fascinated by the high mountains, which are everywhere surrounded by dense fog.

Safari camping in Ulcinj, Montenegro

We are now at Safari camping in Ulcinj in Montenegro. We have today rolled into Montenegro, from Albania. We drove across the border south of Lake Shkoder and the first thing we saw was a landscape with high mountains, narrow roads, luxurious villas and some vineyards. Now we have made it to a campsite by a long sandy beach.
