We have now visited Lucerne in Switzerland, and this is a city we really fell in love with! Besides being characterised by its beautiful old wooden bridges, the city is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes. We have now had the chance to try hang gliding in Interlaken, Switzerland. There was no doubt that Peter would agree to fly, but the question was whether I (Helena) was also prepared to throw myself into the air ...? The dramatic start of the day was then followed by a lovely boat trip on Lake Brienz, and a nice hike to a waterfall.

The Lavaux wine region in Switzerland is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the vineyard terraces built by monks 800 years ago. Now this is a picturesque area with green vineyard terraces sloping steeply down to the green-blue lake, and small villages where family-owned vineyards are densely packed. In the Ardeche region of France, you'll find unparalleled scenery with a dramatic canyon, a long river with crystal clear water and intensely green forests. There are also lots of deep caves, some of which are home to 36,000-year-old paintings. We tried gliding down the long river in a canoe and fell in love. We want to go back!

The island of Porquerolles in France is one of the golden islands on the French Riviera, in the south of France.
