We are, as you may know, on a ski trip and yesterday we went to the major lift systems here in Alpbachtal in Austria. After yesterday's soft launch we ventured straight up to the top and even Beata, who had never skied before, joined us. The view up there was of course fantastic! And how did it go? Yesterday we experienced our very first day of skiing in the Alps. ever. Wow, what an experience! We've seen the amazing view from one of the peaks, got sunburnt, got a workout, eaten goulash soup and drank beer in the sun - and I've challenged my fear of riding a cable car!

We are going skiing in the Alps! Wehooo! This will be something completely new for us, and it will be soooo exciting. We have skied before, but it's been a long time, and never in the Alps. In January it's time, and then it's off to Austria.
