Everything has an end, and it was finally time for the Strandkorgsgänget to travel back to Sweden, after an exciting week in Germany. We took Stena Line from Sassnitz to Trelleborg, drove a bit home and then found a really nice pitch.

The island of Rügen is a beach paradise in northern Germany, with chalk-white cliffs and charming holiday resorts. We travelled here together with six other motorhomes for the 'Beach Basket Challenge' trip and competition. The seven teams in the seven motorhomes have experienced the beaches of Rügen and a fantastic treetop course. In addition, we have challenged each other in two challenges, and in the end were able to select a winner in the 1TP5 Beach Basket Challenge2019.

The German town of Waren is a picturesque little town nestled on the large Müritz lake. Here you can stroll in peace and quiet, or perhaps experience the natural history experience centre Müritzeum. For our part, there were also continued challenges in the "Beach Basket Challenge" competition.

The motorhome trip "Beach Basket Challenge" in Germany continues and we have now travelled from camping Güster at Am Prüßsee to Ostsee camping in Zierow, outside Wismar in northern Germany. Here it was finally time for the first challenge! The participants of course charged during the day, and we can now reveal the winners!

Our motorhome adventure with a total of seven motorhomes, the "Beach Basket Challenge", has started with a first day in the German federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. This was an intensive day with lots of interesting experiences and tasty flavours, which perhaps ended a little differently than expected.

As this post is published, we are on our way to Kiel, Germany on the StenaLine ferry Germanica. All seven motorhomes, including the one we are testing, are on board and we have had time to socialise and get to know each other. Now we are looking forward to the adventure in Germany!
