Everything has an end, and it was finally time for the Strandkorgsgänget to travel back to Sweden, after an exciting week in Germany. We took Stena Line from Sassnitz to Trelleborg, drove a bit home and then found a really nice pitch.

Ferry from Sassnitz to Trelleborg

Yesterday we took the Stena Line ferry from Sassnitz on Rügen to Trelleborg in Skåne. We looked for a while for the border shop before we discovered that it existed. inside check-in. There were a few cases of wine and beer for us, and now it will be interesting to see how it fits in our little car ...

Buffet on board a Stena Line ferry

We left the German harbour at 13:00, and by then we were already munching on the buffet. The shorter ferry journeys between Germany and Sweden are a bit more boring compared to the longer, beautiful ferry journey between Germany and Sweden. the ferry journey between Kiel and Gothenburg. Nevertheless, we have to say that we were really happy with the buffet in the Taste restaurant, especially all the cold items on the buffet table: prawns, salmon, herring, shrimp scrambles, cheese pie and various cheeses.

A last meeting with the gang on the trip

The "Beach Basket Challenge" motorhome trip finally came to an end. It is always special to travel together as a group and it is easy to feel a bit empty afterwards. At least we had a chance to socialise on the boat before it was time to hug and part ways. At least for this time.

Overnight parking space

We arrived in Trelleborg at 17:00 and then it was time for everyone to roll in different directions. We will return the motorhome that we borrowed to test, a Swift Toscane 794eb, but first it had to be another night in the motorhome. We rolled into Persköps car park, at Persköp 155 outside Örkelljunga. This turned out to be a really scenic and nice site, with 36 places for motorhomes and caravans next to a lake.

Service at Persköps car park

It costs SEK 180 to stay at the Persköps car park, and you pay easily by card in a small machine. Once you've paid, you choose a site on the map by pressing a button, and then you can use the electricity in the pole. There is also water, the possibility of emptying tanks, rubbish collection, toilets, showers and the possibility of buying ice cream by paying by swipe.

Take-what-you-have meal in the campervan

When we arrived at the campsite, we realised that we had ... forgotten to buy food. So what was in the cupboards? Some breakfast bread, some pâté and a sausage we got during a trip in Skåne. It worked great!

We were tired and enjoyed getting a good rest, while of course it felt a bit empty after the trip. But it didn't have to feel so empty after all - the whole gang texted each other all evening, from different places in Sweden!
