We've come a long way with our work on decorating the lower deck of the houseboat, where we have a bedroom, exercise room and walk-in closet. And now you can find out what we were going to do with all the laminate flooring we bought. We covered the walls with it! Then Peter bought hand-forged nails (!) that he put up to give it a solid old boat feel.

"Fixing this has been a lot of work and Peter has been sweating and swearing. For a long period it was really chaos in the houseboat. No wall is straight and everything has to be sawn to an exact fit. But he doesn't usually make things easy for himself. The whole room is not finished yet, but at least the end around the bed. What do you think?

What a job! And I think it turned out very nicely, really boat-like. The handmade nails were really that extra something. Clever with the LED lights that shine both up and down.
I also think the panelling on the walls can help somewhat against the moisture and it easily sneaks in if you live on the water.

Absolutely LOVE the cool LED lighting, right up my LEDed alley. Also the hand-forged nails are awesome. What a great guy you have at home. As I said - you're welcome to lend him out from time to time;-)
