British motorhome owners have more holidays and a more active lifestyle than the average British household, according to a survey by insurance company Shield Total Insurance.

Half of motorhome owners have twice the national average or more time off, and 18 per cent enjoy more than ten long breaks a year, the report says. Out & About Live.
A total of 44% travel to the continent, with France being the most popular destination. The benefits of motorhome ownership apply throughout the year: 31% use their motorhome over Christmas and New Year and 41% make their first trip in January, February or March.
A lot of joy
"It's good to know that our customers get so much pleasure from owning and using their vehicles. I think we all need to buy a motorhome!" says Stuart Craig of Shield Total Insurance. Steve, I can only agree. These are definitely the kind of statistics that the manufacturers want, and that feel confirming and good for us who have a motorhome. That's what the purpose of producing such statistics is, I guess ...
