We are going to Northern Norway!

Our midsummer trip is to Northern Norway! The trip is organised in cooperation with Visit Norwayand we will fly to Bodö, which is located just south of Lofoten in northern Norway. This trip will really be soooo exciting!

Bodö and Lofoten

We will fly to the town of Bodö (or Bodø), located on the coast in the northern part of Norway. You can read that Bodö is about nine miles north of the Arctic Circle, and has the midnight sun from 4 June to 8 July each year. Not far from here is the Salt Stream, which is the world's most powerful tidal current, and is also home to the world's largest population of sea eagles.

Just north of Bodö, the Lofoten archipelago is a popular tourist destination, with its beautiful scenery and charming little fishing villages. In the summer, many cruise ships also come here.

What should we do in Northern Norway?

So, what are our plans for Northern Norway? Well, we don't really know yet, but we are leaning towards nature experiences, boat trips and maybe even some fishing. We have never been to Norway together and it is more than 20 years since I (Helena) was last in Northern Norway. We are really looking forward to this trip! Hope you want to follow the trip on the blog! Have you perhaps been to these areas yourself? Feel free to tell us!
