What wonderful motorhome trips we have had the chance to do! At last! Now we are pausing at home for a little while, as the weather suddenly became less inspiring. Instead, we are happy that at least one of us is getting the vaccine today. Hooray!

Great motorhome holidays
We have made two motorhome trips now. First we travelled around south of Lake Mälaren in search of castles. Then we circled north of Lake Mälaren and checked out castles, ancient monuments, open-air museums and cities. There is quite a lot that is closed, but it is still very funny with new views and impressions!
Electric bikes are great for exploring cities. Among other things, we've ridden them around in Västerås and in Örebro. What nice cities! We got really excited and want to see more and more of Sweden, but it's not much fun when it's snowing wet snow all over the place, so we're taking it easy.
New job
Have I (Helena) told you that I have a new job? I'm still working 50 per cent on one of my previous projects, called Health matters. In my other 50 per cent, I have been recruited to an EU project led from Ireland on digital inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.
One small but the administrative processes are slow, so even though I started working on 1 April, no papers have been signed yet. In other words, it is very uncertain when the salary will arrive, but I guess it's all about being hopeful. Happy Friday!
Finally, vaccines!
A few days ago, Peter's brother called to say that "anyone over 60 can now book a vaccination appointment". We logged straight into the "Always Open" app and Peter got an appointment ... today! If everything goes as planned, he will soon receive his first dose. I (Helena), who is younger, will have to wait a little longer. How is it for you? Have you been vaccinated yet? Best this week
The best thing this week has been the wonderful motorhome trip, with visits to Västerås and Örebro, among others. And then the opportunity to book a vaccination! What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
We're planning to stay in the houseboat for a little while now, as the weather doesn't look too promising. You can expect reports about Örebro and also about Nyköping, which we've visited but haven't had time to write about yet. When the weather improves, we'll hit the road again!

Great vaccine, even if it's only the first dose, the process is underway. I got mine on 1 April (no April Fool's joke) and dose 2 on 3 June.
The best part of this week was that my summer project continues for another 2 weeks before the final judgement and the summer challenge(s).

It's great to be outside with the motorhome, but now it's too cold!
We go out when the heat comes back, hopefully soon.
And finally Friday again,and yesterday I got an appointment for a vaccine with a
call from the health centre so I said yes at once, just as well!
3 May, it will be either Pfizers or Moderna, they are probably good 🙂 .
The wife is also on G with her soon, we are both 60+ so!

I have been waiting for the vaccine and got my first Astra on Wednesday and it was noticed that there was no water in that syringe. Fy what I have been bad but probably nothing compared to how you get rid of Covid. Today the order is restored, almost.

Here is my first 💉 best event of the week, never has a needle stick been so longed for! So wonderful that Stockholm has come so far (here it is still 65+) so Peter gets his dose.
You've certainly been on a couple of nice motorhome trips, while we put ours away until the move is over....

We have also received the first sting and at the end of May and beginning of June there will be a second one. Wonderful to feel protected and be able to start thinking about other things. Just like you, we have made two trips, most recently to Hönö this fantastic place not far from Gothenburg. The next trip will probably be to the neighbouring island Björkö which we have not yet explored. Good luck with your new job Helena and have a nice weekend.

What wonderful journeys you have made! I still have to get out over the weekends so the owners, read male, think they have spent enough time at home over the winter. It may instead be nice to take a short trip over the weekend and change environment.
My male owner, who works administratively in the health service, also received his first injection this week (although he has some patient contact). Here it was Moderna and he is very happy with it. In two or three weeks he will have good protection and in 6 weeks there will be another shot. With my owners, it has not been an option not to take the shot even if my female owner has to wait a little longer.

Great with vaccines! Funny to read that so many people got their first shots! Pär got his first one today, but I'll probably have to wait a little longer. In any case, it is obvious to vaccinate us!
Luckily we got home before the snowstorm. Now we will be home for the weekend before we go out with the motorhome again. The house is occupied, so we have fun out on the lawn with access to a good service house with bathroom and laundry room! We also have nice tenants!

Congratulations on your new job! I am 46 years old, have no diseases thankfully and no risk factors (I know of) have never taken the regular seasonal flu vaccine and will probably skip the Covid ones as long as it is practically possible.

Nice to have a motorhome trip and congratulations on your new job. And of course it feels good to have received your first vaccine dose. We got our first one a couple of weeks ago and will get the next one at the end of May. Then I hope that you get a Covid passport so that you do not have to do a PCR test if you are travelling abroad.
Best of the week? Many things. Walks, good dinners, fun jobs, outdoor meetings with friends and of course nice weather. And being in Kungsan and seeing the cherry blossoms.

I heard about your project on the BBC. The fact that no papers have been signed - well, Brexit is the culprit I suppose...
Now it seems that vaccines can be administered quickly! If Peter wants to be vaccinated, congratulations on the speed of the process. I hope he gets Pfizer and that he doesn't have any side effects.
I haven't hung up on the lock, so to speak, and my family doctor even advises that I get vaccinated right now. So it suits me perfectly.

My favourite thing this week is that we had soil delivered to the thuija hedge. Actually, that's not the best part. It's that the supplier quickly fixed a small mishap caused by the lorry driver. In addition to the fix, he gave us a discount! Talk about customer focus and smart marketing! That makes me happy 🙂
