Finally, we have enjoyed a wonderful summer, and hopefully it will last for a while longer. Many of us like to plan our holidays down to the last detail and even down to the last day of the holiday, while many others choose not to plan their holidays as much.

Popular holidays in Sweden

Holidaying in Sweden increased significantly last summer and, for natural reasons, is expected to be a record this year as well. Interest in renting and buying a summer cottage in the countryside, for example, has never been as great as it is right now, just as there is great interest in renting or buying a motorhome, boat or caravan.

There is no doubt that there are plenty of things to see and experience at home, while many people may have had enough, temporarily or permanently, of the pulse of the city. The fact that many Swedes have moved - or want to move - from the cities to the countryside may also have to do with the fact that many of us have had the opportunity to work from home in the last year or so.

Many people who have had the opportunity to work from home have of course also got a taste for this and want to continue to be able to work in the same way, while many companies have seen that production can still be kept high. Many companies have also seen that they can save money on certain premises that have become completely unnecessary when the labour force can work from home.

All of the above and many other things can of course be some of the contributing factors to many people choosing to see more of the wonderful things that Sweden has to offer. When it comes to summer holidays, this is also a time for relaxation and time with loved ones while we can also spend more time on our personal interests.
