This week we have had time for a release party for a new Viking Line ship and an industry travel fair. Now it's time for a motorhome trip to Glasriket. It's always busy. Happy Friday!

Release party for Viking Glory
On Tuesday afternoon / evening, Viking Line invited to a release party for their ship Viking Glory. The ship has been built for several years in Xiamen in China, and will truly be something beyond the company's usual boats. They have invested heavily in sustainability and environmental aspects, but also in timeless design and the possibility of glazed and heated viewing areas.
We have to say that we have become really curious about this ship, which will be put into service between Stockholm and Turku in March 2022. The release event offered decorative picnic food from the ship's chefs.
Mark Levengood was the moderator and, as usual, offered a lot of humour, with references to the relationship between Finland and Sweden.
A little later, Lisa Nilsson also entertained, with a lot of well-known songs.
Travel fair
Yesterday we were at the Travel News Market trade fair. This fair is always a good way to meet and make contacts in the industry. Since there was also a party in the evening, there will not be much reportage today. We will return tomorrow!
Motorhome trip to the Kingdom of Glass
We have now set off on perhaps the last motorhome trip of the year. We will discover Glasriket in Småland, in cooperation with Glasriket. This is an area that we have seen very little of, even though we made a visit to ... Granhult church in the summer. We understand that there are very lots to discover here - lots of glassworks of course, but also nature, moose parks, restaurants and all sorts of other things.
It will be extra exciting to experience the area as we recently visited a similar tourist destination in another country: The Crystal Valley in the Czech Republic. We will of course write about our experiences here on FREEDOMtravel.se, but as usual it may take a few days before the reporting starts. Best this week
This week we have been home, and we must say that it has been a bit nice to try to catch up with work and everything else. It's also been fun going through photos from our recent trip to Tunisia - it's almost like experiencing the trip all over again! What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
In the coming week, the motorhome will be on the road, and it feels great to get out with FREEDOM again. Please wave if you see us on the road!

Glad you're getting back on the road! The best thing this week was probably the little mini-trip to Cartagena, decided on very short notice. Barely an hour's drive from home. After a night here, we will soon roll back home again 🙂.

Can recommend Kosta Lodge. good parking space and also cottages for rent. Nice jogging trails and close to Kosta glassworks with everything that is offered there. At the Lodge there is also the possibility of fishing and here goats that. go fenced. We were there at Easter and enjoyed ourselves.

Fun week with travel fair and what a lovely buffet you were offered. Can almost understand that you think it is nice with a few days at home.
Here we are a little weak today because we got our third covid shot along with the seasonal flu yesterday and it feels good. Otherwise, the week offered a cosy excursion to Karlstad with a concert visit.

The tapas that Viking Line offered you looked fantastic - MUMS!
It will be interesting to compare the glass art in Småland with what you saw in the Czech Republic. I don't think it will be possible - to compare, that is. The Scandinavian "style" is completely different from the Czech one, but it will be really exciting to read about your "study visits".
