Meeting family and friends before departure
Before embarking on a four-month journey, you naturally want to meet family and friends. We have met our good friends Lennart and Beata, among others. Before departure, we will also meet Helena's mum and Peter's two sons. Then we will keep in touch by phone, email and social media.
Fixing the houseboat
Lately we have also been working on taking care of the houseboat. We have been ordered to upgrade some things related to fire protection. We haven't been able to fix this yet, as it takes time to find tradesmen who can do this, but we have asked for quotes and hope to make the corrections "remotely".
What we could do ourselves, however, is change the wheels on the gangway. We don't have to take care of the flower beds or cut the grass, but instead we have to change the wheels of the gangway once a year ...
Now the gangway will be able to roll smoothly again, without making noise.
Wanted: Who won the Czech Republic trip?
We want to take the opportunity to make an announcement! During the fair "Husbil Stockholm 2022" at Kistamässan, we held a lecture about The Crystal Valley in the Czech Republic (Saturday 19 March at 11:00) During this lecture we raffled off a very nice prize - a trip to the Czech Republic!
We drew the winners' names from a 'hat' and handed out an envelope containing the prize. However, the fair was busy and we forgot to take the winners' names. Now the Czech Tourist Office (which is behind the prize) would like to have the winners' names to help them with their trip!

It's great to prepare for a very long trip. We also did a tour to see our children and grandchildren even though we will be away for less than two months.

Had a good laugh that you forgot to write down the names of the winners of the trip to the Czech Republic. I really hope they get in touch with you. A little embarrassing otherwise;-)
