The April weather offers a wild mix of warm sunshine and icy winds filled with snow. Just as it "should" be this time of year! Today is a big day for us. We will pick up the motorhome from winter storage!

What April weather we have! One minute we are walking in the sunshine and buying ice cream at an ice cream parlour. The next moment, the sky opens up to pour down lots of ... snow!
Several nights the water in the marina has frozen, and in the mornings the marina's boats drive around crushing the ice. It's really April weather, but then again it's April, so it's not entirely unexpected ...
Skeppsholmen in Stockholm
Since we haven't retrieved the motorhome from winter storage yet (but soon!), there will be a lot of time at home. Then it's nice to at least do small Excursions. Last weekend - when the sun was shining - we went to Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. We definitely recommend going there when the weather is nice. It's a very charming part of Stockholm.
In one day we had time for three (!) museum visits, which went well because the museums are close together on Skeppsholmen and because at least the three we visited all have free admission. There were interesting visits to Modern Museum, ArkDes and the East Asian Museum. Inspiring to get some new impressions!
Today we pick up the motorhome!
Today we will finally pick up the motorhome from winter storage. FREEDOM is in a garage outside Uppsala and for us it will be a full day trip by train and buses, and then inspection. It will be so nice to get the motorhome home. Soon, soon travel and adventure await. How we have longed!
Now we keep our fingers crossed that the motorhome will pass the inspection without problems. Then we have a few things to take care of here at home. Then it's off!
Best this week
Best thing this week? Well, of course it's picking up the campervan today! We have some challenges right now too - running a business and owning an old houseboat are two things that constantly require work and financial considerations. Men today we focus on the positive, right? Motorhome season is just around the corner!

The week ahead
In the coming week we will enter the Easter week. Some day during this week we plan to set off on our long motorhome trip. On freedomtravel.se you can expect reports on the East Asian Museum, maybe a guest article and soon ... preparations and departure of the motorhome!

Up here it's more than just April weather. Snowstorm all week! Really boring when you long for a little spring.

Yes great fun to pick up the motorhome! Liiite disappointment that it is snowing though 😉 But yes, exactly, we come to Hamburg with the motorhome, and it looks like Valborg. But what fun, then see you there!!!

Here the motorhome will have to rest indoors in the storage for a while longer unfortunately!
There's about 2 dm of fresh snow and it's drizzling, and summer tyres!
Then it stands best where it is now 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Fun to pick up the motorhome and to soon get away on a long trip. For our part, we are in the Spanish cottage and the fine weather is back with bright sunshine and around +20. But there have been some rainy and dull days.

Great that Freedom passed the inspection. We have brought Laikan home between two snowstorms from service at the workshop. It's not easy with summer tyres in this moody weather, but now the snow is over until we start our motorhome trips next week!!!

No, not fun with summer tyres in snow. We were happy that it stayed on the plus side so it didn't get slippery anyway. Now we want spring! Wish you nice motorhome trips!!!

Good for you. We are on our third trip in the local area this year. Right now with the son in Huddinge. Yesterday in Trosa where we enjoyed the harbour restaurant. Previous trips went to Stegeborg (which also has a harbour restaurant) and Westerqvarn / Hallstahammar, which surprised. Cosy, but not far away.
