To Tunisia - direct flight from Stockholm

We travelled to Tunisia on a press trip in 2021 (you can find all the our reports on Tunisia here) and it was a great trip in many ways. Amongst other things, it was exciting to visit the southern part, where we lived in tents in the Sahara, and it was also nice to discover the island of Djerba, where the fantastic street species made a big impression.

This trip is also a press trip, in connection with the start of direct flights between Stockholm Arlanda and Tunis. This time we focus on the northern part of the country, which is easily accessible from Tunis, and visit among other things Hammamet and Sousse. Direct route? The airline Nouvelair operates this route once a week on Mondays.

On the press trip we will be joined by Daniela and Göran from Discovering the Planet, Petra from Pellas Inspiration, Nikolas from Web TV and Norwegian Desirée from Desirée Travels. In addition, Mohammed, from the Tunisian Tourist Office, is travelling with us.

The flight was delayed by an hour and the atmosphere on board was both excited and messy, but once we got going it only took four hours.

We are now in place in lovely Tunisia. We have been here for a few days, and have had a lot of time, everything from archaeological sights and traditional markets to good food, sun and swimming. One of the most beautiful places we have visited so far is the blue and white town of Sidi Bou Said, which we also visited in 2021. We offer some mixed photos from this amazing place!

Best this week

The best part of this week for us? It is of course that we got the chance to travel to Tunisia again, and discover even more of this beautiful country!

The week ahead

We stay in Tunisia for a few more days and then fly back to Helsinki, via Stockholm, where our motorhome is waiting. Over the next few days you can expect a mix of Åland reports and guest articles. Later in the week we will hopefully have a first report from Tunisia!
