Warning about the unauthorised sale of Slovenian e-vignettes on unofficial websites

Slovenian DARS (responsible for selling e-vignettes in Slovenia) warns about a large number of unofficial websites selling Slovenian e-vignettes without authorisation. These providers charge a high commission, and there is also no guarantee that the ticket is valid. New measures to tackle queuing at Arlanda airport

Summer travel is in full swing and high pressure is expected at Arlanda. Swedavia is asking all travellers to be in place when check-in and baggage reclaim opens. This weekend, only travellers with less than three hours until departure will be allowed in. Those who arrive earlier may be directed to a waiting area. To make it easier for travellers, the opening hours of the security check in Terminal 5 have been extended and, in addition to Ryanair, more airlines are now gradually being moved to Terminal 4, but also to Terminal 2.

Snus and plastic most commonly littered in Sälen, Vemdalen and Åre

On behalf of SkiStar, Keep Sweden Tidy has conducted a survey of littering at three Swedish destinations. The survey shows that the most common types of rubbish picked up were snuff balls, various types of plastic rubbish and cigarette butts. The rubbish was found near accommodation, lifts and restaurants. A total of 32,469 items of litter, including 11,864 pieces of plastic, 8,233 pieces of snuff and 5,236 cigarette butts, were collected in one day, corresponding to six tonnes of litter.

Snälltåget opens bookings for winter 2022/23 to Jämtland.

Snälltåget has just opened sales for the winter travelling season from Malmövia Stockholm to Jämtland Härjedalen and Åre. During the winter, Snälltåget will operate night trains from 17 December 2022 until 30 April 2023. A new feature is that the night trains will also depart on Fridays from Malmö to Åre and Saturdays from Åre to Malmö.

NASA astronaut Jessica Meir visits Sweden

Swedish-American astronaut Jessica Meir visits H22 City Expo in Paris. Helsingborg on 21 June. Meir will lecture at the Concert Hall in Helsingborg at 16.30. The lecture is in English, open to the public and free of charge, but the ticket required. Meir could make history again, as she could become one of the Austonauts to travel to the Moon with the Artemis International Lunar Programme. During her visit to Sweden, Jessica Meir will also visit Gothenburg, Stockholm, Umeå and Västerås.

Roslagsbanan closed this summer - bus to replace it

From midsummer until 13 August, SL will replace train services on Roslagsbanan with buses. This is to complete the work of replacing two level crossings with safer crossings at Frescati and Enebyberg.
