End of the long journey: Cape Town and Victoria Falls

We have been in South Africa for a long time, almost seven weeks. But eventually it's time to wrap things up. The last two weeks of the trip were spent in Cape Town in South Africa and at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Happy Friday!

Cape Town in South Africa

Cape Town is perhaps one of the most commonly visited places in Europe. South Africa to visit as a tourist. For our part, we came here only at the end of the trip, and then together with Peter's son Robin and his wife Alexandra. They had done a lot of research before the visit, which was great.

Vi fick verkligen en fantastiskt fin vistelse och bockade av allt från färgglada hus och vintåg i Franschhoek till pingviner i Simon’s Town och restauranger med avsmakningsmenyer. Vi lovar att vi kommer berätta mer om detta snart!

Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe

Som avslut på hela resan valde vi, tillsammans med Robin och Alexandra, att flyga till Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Fallen ligger egentligen på gränsen mellan Zimbabwe och Zambia och man kan besöka båda sidorna om man vill. Vi hade bara några få dagar på oss och valde att stanna i Zimbabwe under hela besöket.

Here we stayed in a fantastic natural hotel, overlooking a waterhole where the wild animals stop to drink, such as elephants and buffalo. In addition, the area was full of animals such as markats, mongooses and warthogs. A very special experience! And yes, more detailed reports will come of course!

Against Sweden again!

After a few days in Zimbabwe, it was time to head back to Sweden. Robin and Alexandra were keen to fly with Qatar Airways, so we travelled to the Victoria Falls. Johannesburg - Doha - Stockholm. A long journey of course, but in the meantime we could enjoy writing and going through photos. And try to sleep of course, as much as possible on board an aircraft.

Bäst denna vecka? Allt! Förutom att vi i omgångar varit lite småkrassliga (sånt som händer när man reser) så har vi haft det fantastiskt. Både Cape Town och Victoriafallen kvalar in bland några av våra mest minnesvärda resmål.

The week ahead

By the time you read this, we will probably be back home in Sweden. We will probably be quite tired, but there will be no rest for us.

Almost immediately we will get involved in the fair "Stockholm Caravan Motorhome"which will be held at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö on 14-17 March. Maybe we will see you? We give a lecture on Friday + Saturday at 15:00, about "Bottniska Viken runt med husbilen" in Allt om husbilen's stand. Immediately after the fair, we are going on a cruise to Turku. Full roll then!
