Today we visited the Sicilian town of Noto. Noto is located south of Syracuse and despite its small size (24,000 inhabitants) is well worth a visit. In 2002, the town and its church were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, and it's not hard to see why.

Now Peter has made a film with pictures from Corsica and Sardinia! When we think back on the whole trip (8 months in France, Portugal, Spain and Italy) we have to say that Corsica and Sardinia are the ones that stand out as the most amazing. Wow, what islands!
Read moreShopping in supermarkets in Southern Europe (and everywhere else!) is exciting and interesting. It is fun to browse through all the raw materials and products that you are not used to from Sweden. It's also interesting to observe the range of products in the shops as it tells you a lot about the food culture in the different countries. We have now travelled in France, Portugal, Spain and Italy for eight months. Here you can see our reflections from the supermarkets. Maybe you have other experiences?
Read moreWe have now found a pitch in Pozzallo, Sicily. High season and 35 degree heat is stressful when travelling, and Sicily is probably better at another time of the year. Read moreToday we have continued to drive around Sicily, from Marsala on the west coast of Sicily and south along the coast. Along the way to Mazara del Vallo we found many beautiful little beaches, and we would have loved to have camped there - if only we could have got the campervan down! The roads down to the beaches are narrow, full of large potholes and incredibly steep.
Read moreToday we went to Trapani on the west coast of Sicily, and our main goal was to buy an internet sim card, but we also got to see an incredibly beautiful city! We managed to of course arrive in the afternoon when everything was closed (siesta), and that way we had time to walk around the Old Town instead.
Read moreSan Vito Lo Capo is located on a prominent promontory in western Sicily, just north of Trapani. It offers beautiful scenery in the form of dramatic mountains and fine beaches. The village is small but charming and the 'main' street is full of restaurants, bars, shops and strolling tourists.
