New book on camping in Eastern Europe

Margareta and Bobo Jonilson, who also run the online magazine Nomadliv, have been camping in Eastern Europe this summer. And that trip turned into a book, which is very nice for all of us! The trip went from Estonia to Slovenia, and in the book they have concentrated on describing eight capital cities in Eastern Europe: Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest and Ljubljana.

37,000 visitors at Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2009

When the doors closed on Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2009, the fair had been visited by 37,493 people, according to Elmia's own statistics. Last year there were as many as 41,648 visitors, but with the economic crisis in mind, this year's result cannot be considered bad either.

If you want to get out into nature, without travelling so far from Stockholm, we can really recommend Gålö. Gålö Havsbad is located about 3.5 kilometres south of Stockholm, in Haninge municipality. There is a nice campsite and the opportunity to walk in the forest, fish, swim and ski, depending on the season of course. If you look through the windscreen of some motorhomes, you can pretty quickly conclude that the average age of motorhome owners is relatively, how should we say, respectable... We think that all 60+ people who take the chance, now that the children have left home, to become nomads and see the world with a motorhome are cool and do the right thing. But ... are there no young people with motorhomes?
