Häringe Castle is located just south of Stockholm and is a castle you visit for lovely weekend packages, luxurious dinners and lazy days in the castle pool. We didn't do any of this, but checked out the castle and dreamed of a future, slightly more exclusive, visit.

Ramlösa brunnspark in Helsingborg has a history dating back to the 17th century, when the first health-giving spring was discovered here. Ramlösa brunn served as a health resort for a long time, and the water for Ramlösa mineral water is still drawn here today.

The Historical Museum in Stockholm offers a journey from ancient times to the present. Along the way you can immerse yourself in the Viking worldview, see the glittering gold of all the rich treasures and be horrified by the bloody massacre at the Visby ring wall in 1361.

Updated September 2026 | We have visited Norrköping several times, but there is one thing that makes us want to come back: the old Industrial Landscape where the Motala Stream flows between the factories in the middle of the city. Add trams, thousands of years old rock carvings and 25,000 cacti – Norrköping is much stranger and more fun than you might first think.

Södertuna Castle is beautifully situated by Frösjön in Södermanland. People come here, for example, to treat themselves to a weekend at the castle hotel or for an Afternoon Tea. We only had the roads past with the motorhome, and took the opportunity to look around the beautiful castle park.

The Thielska Gallery is a fine art museum located on the southern part of Djurgården in Stockholm. It displays the Thiel couple's large art collection, but also various temporary exhibitions. We made an excursion here, and ended with a boat trip back to the city.

Updated: October 2026 | Here you can wander through old city quarters, visit a mighty medieval cathedral, discover Swedish aviation history and watch boats climb the Göta Canal's lock steps. We have returned to Linköping many times with the camper and found both historical environments, beautiful parks and exciting excursion destinations.

Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde, located on Djurgården in Stockholm, was originally the home of Prince Eugen. Today it is a popular art museum with the prince's paintings, various temporary exhibitions and a beautiful park filled with sculptures.
