Wow, already Friday again? Earlier in the week, the "snowstorm from Iceland" moved in and made it rocky here in the houseboat. A little later in the week we met the First Lady of Iceland. So the little Nordic country in the Atlantic Ocean gets to be part of our happy Friday this week!

Last Thursday, a full day for the travel industry was organised in Stockholm. During the day, Travel News Market 2017 was held at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress centre and in the evening the event continued, in a more festive style, at Café Opera. We were there, of course, and here is our report.

Yesterday morning Peter attended a press breakfast with Finnair at the Turkish baths at Sturebadet in Stockholm. Breakfast and news from Finnair were served, but there was no bathing ritual.

This year Silja Line turns 60 years old, and the celebration continues throughout the year. Yesterday it was time for the anniversary cruise in Stockholm, and all we can say is: what a cruise and what a party! We travelled on the Silja Symphony from Värtahamnen to the centre of Stockholm, and this was a trip with a lot of excitement. The festivities were not only drinks and food, but also live bands, water cannons and aeroplanes. Among other things.

Last Friday evening it was time for one of the biggest events of the year for travel bloggers: the Nordic Travel Blog event. The event, organised by Travel & Lifestyle Nordic, gathered around 100 Nordic travel bloggers at the Sheraton hotel in Stockholm. It was a long and pleasant evening with food and wine, mingling, lectures, crazy (to say the least!) antics and an award ceremony with fantastic prizes.

Ok, here we go! The week has been crazy and the sea is storming. The next workshop Iveco has fixed two errors out of four on the motorhome, and they do not intend to help me further with the rear view camera, and that the battery does not charge with cable, yes, life plays, haha.
