Here you will not only find a wide and beautiful waterfall, but also a romantic park with suspension bridges, hiking trails and a magnificent manor house. For us, Keila-Joa was the last stop on our motorhome trip through Estonia – before we rolled on towards the ferry in Paldiski.

Updated: August 2026 | Rummu quarry in Estonia is one of the country's most unusual sights. Here, turquoise water, sunken buildings and the remains of a large prison area meet. When we visited Rummu, the place was still quite raw and unregulated. Today, it is a developed tourist destination where you can swim, dive, paddle, visit the prison museum – and even spend the night in a camper van.

For us Swedes, there is also a very special reason to come here: the long history of the Estonian Swedes, who lived on the island for several hundred years. We traveled around Dagö in a camper van and found both exciting history, strange sights and some fantastic places by the sea.

Updated: August 2026 | Kynö, or Kihnu in Estonian, is a small island off the southwestern coast of Estonia with an unusually vibrant culture. Traditional costumes, music and crafts are still used here, and women have historically played a particularly important role when the men were out at sea. Kihnu's cultural space has been on UNESCO's list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2008. We traveled here by ferry, received a personal guide around the island and spent the night in our camper near the sea.
